Home rehab with impact: the GO HOME project

Pressure on healthcare keeps rising: rehab tracks take a long time, professionals have too little time, and patients often lack the motivation to keep up their exercises. Het Verbeterpunt is a partner in GO HOME, an innovation project that tackles exactly that.

Digital, gamified home rehab

Made possible by OPZUID

GO HOME is co-funded by the OPZUID 2021–2027 scheme — the South-Netherlands European innovation programme that stimulates groundbreaking technology and collaboration.

The GO HOME consortium is building a complete system for home rehab after hip or knee surgery. Instead of loose exercise sheets or short check-ins at the practice, you recover at home with smart technology.

How it works

Four parts, one system

Gamified exercises

SmartClips, VR or the SmartBike turn your exercises into a game — keeping it fun and approachable.

Smart sensors

Sensors measure your movement, posture and progress, so we can see objectively how recovery is going.

Patient Journey App

A companion app guides you step by step and gives instant feedback on your exercises.

Remote monitoring

Our care professionals track your progress continuously, even between appointments.

The goal

What GO HOME delivers

  • Higher adherence to therapy
  • Faster recovery
  • More motivation and independence
  • Less pressure on care, lower costs

At Het Verbeterpunt

We're testing it ourselves

At Het Verbeterpunt we're testing these innovative products to map their effect on recovery after knee and hip surgery.
