Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a good and transparent working relationship between Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt and its patients. We advise you to read them regularly and to contact us for clarification if anything is unclear.

1. General provisions

1.1. These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt, based in Someren.

1.2. By using the services of Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Intake and treatment plan

2.1. At the first appointment an intake interview takes place, in which the physiotherapist examines your medical history and current complaints.

2.2. Based on the intake interview, a treatment plan is drawn up that matches your specific situation and needs.

2.3. The treatment plan may be adjusted during treatment, depending on your progress and results.

3. Treatment appointments

3.1. Treatment appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. A fee is charged for late cancellation or failure to attend.

3.2. Should the physiotherapist unexpectedly have to cancel the appointment, for instance due to illness, we will inform you as soon as possible and schedule a new appointment.

3.3. If an appointment is not kept without valid reason, the practice reserves the right to charge the cost of the treatment.

4. Costs and payment

4.1. The rates for treatment are made known in advance and include VAT, unless stated otherwise.

4.2. Payment must be made within 14 days of the invoice date, unless agreed otherwise.

4.3. Payment can be made by bank transfer or another payment method accepted by the practice.

4.4. In the event of late payment, the practice is entitled to charge interest and administrative costs.

5. Reimbursement by your health insurer

5.1. Depending on your health insurer and policy conditions, physiotherapy may be partly reimbursed.

5.2. It is your own responsibility to check whether physiotherapy is reimbursed and to obtain the correct reimbursement information from your health insurer.

5.3. Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt is not liable for misunderstandings or changes in your health insurer's reimbursement arrangements.

6. Privacy and patient information

6.1. Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt handles your personal data with care and meets the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6.2. All data collected during treatment is treated confidentially. You have the right to access your medical record.

6.3. If you wish, you may request that data be amended or deleted, in accordance with applicable legislation.

7. Treatment methods

7.1. Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt uses various treatment methods, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, dry needling and other common physiotherapy techniques.

7.2. Before treatment starts you are informed about the chosen treatment methods. If you have questions about the treatment, you can always ask for clarification.

8. Responsibility and risks

8.1. You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information about your state of health. This is essential for a sound diagnosis and treatment.

8.2. Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt does everything possible to carry out treatment safely and effectively, but cannot be held liable for damage arising from the treatment, except in the event of intent or gross negligence.

8.3. You are responsible for following the instructions and advice of the physiotherapist, both during and outside treatment sessions.

9. Liability

9.1. Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt is liable for damage arising from an error or omission by the treating physiotherapist, except where the damage results from acting contrary to the advice given.

9.2. Liability is limited to the amount paid out in that case by the practice's liability insurance.

10. Changes to these terms and conditions

10.1. Fysiotherapiepraktijk Het Verbeterpunt reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.

10.2. Changes are communicated to patients in good time via our website or other communication channels.

11. Applicable law and disputes

11.1. These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.

11.2. Disputes arising from the application of these terms are, where necessary, submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
